imageA local man is working to preserve that nearly forgotten art of working oxen. Luke Conner of Cologne in King and Queen County got interested in draft animals when he was 5 years old. Today, he takes his team of oxen, named Calvin and Hobbs, to shows, events and fairs.

Wittman seeks funds for Broad Creek
First District Congressman Robert Wittman informed the Middlesex County Board of Supervisors Tuesday night that he hopes federal funds will soon be available to dredge the mouth of Broad Creek in Deltaville, but he is not overly optimistic.

Bracke’s testimony fails to sway jury
