Saturday’s Urbanna Founders’ Day to offer family fun, history for all
Urbanna will celebrate its first Founders’ Day this Saturday, August 30, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., with all-day events and special activities that will entertain and educate. At the heart of the celebration is the 1 p.m. dedication of the restored John Mitchell Map at the Visitor’s Center, and a remembrance of our founders.

A toast to the oyster

Governor McAuliffe announces creation of Virginia Oyster Trail
Governor Terry McAuliffe announced Tuesday the creation of the Virginia Oyster Trail, a major tourism development project connecting travelers to Virginia oyster purveyors, raw bars and restaurants, and the watermen’s culture throughout Coastal Virginia.
