Hearing on condo lawsuits is Friday
This Friday, May 21, at 3 p.m. a hearing will take place in Gloucester Circuit Court on two lawsuits filed against the Urbanna Town Council and others by condominium developer Potomac Timber Investments LLC.

Middlesex County will not have to borrow
Middlesex County Treasurer Betty Bray told the county board of supervisors on May 4 that it appears the county will make it through tax collection day, June 5, without having to tap into its $3 million line of credit.

School budget adopted; no teachers will lose jobs
Fairheart reported no teachers will lose their jobs. There will be a reduction of one full-time English teacher at Middlesex High School, but this will be handled by attrition. When the English teacher left earlier in the year, the position was not filled.
