The Deltaville Maritime Museum opened for the season last Saturday with its annual Working Watermen’s Weekend. The new exhibits include a variety of cultural and local exhibits.

The Virginia Marine Resources Commission (VMRC) has released the 2015 blue crab winter dredge survey, which showed moderate improvement in the health of the stock, despite a very cold winter that killed an inordinately large number of crabs.

On April 15 in Middlesex Circuit Court, Anthony Montey Frazier entered “Alford Pleas of Guilty,” stipulating that the evidence against him, if presented, would be sufficient to sustain a conviction of the second-degree murder of Raheem Williams, 20, of Gloucester, and the “unlawful wounding” of Markus Hammond of Middlesex, according to court documents.
