Founders’ Day activities to include pirates and living history players

Town pool has structural damage; leaking water
Urbanna’s town pool has some big problems, reported town administrator Holly Gailey at recent meetings of the Urbanna Town Council. During three days in early July, about 80,000 gallons went through openings in the pool sides. That’s half the pool’s capacity.

‘Pirate ship’ being built in Deltaville
imageColonial Virginia’s maritime history is being brought to life by the Colonial Seaport Foundation Inc. in Deltaville. The organization is presently rebuilding and modifying a 47-foot ketch (two-masted sailboat) into a replica of a 1768 Virginia sloop.
