Public hearing on Historic District is postponed
A public hearing on a proposal to shrink the boundaries of the Urbanna Historic District was not held at the December 15 Urbanna Town Council meeting. Mayor Don Richwine said the Urbanna Planning Commission had failed to notify adjoining property owners before it held its public hearing on November 20.

Following arguments in Middlesex Circuit Court, substitute Judge William R. Savage III granted a continuance on December 17 so that accused murderer Travis Al Baker could be observed for a psychological diagnosis at Eastern State Hospital.
