Peregrin plucking is successful
imageEn route to a safer neighborhood, three baby peregrin falcons were plucked from their nest 200 feet above the Rappahannock River last Thursday. They will be relocated to a safer home in the New River Gorge in West Virginia.

Centenary Church saved from razing
imageBuilt in 1883, Centenary Church has been identified as the last church structure of its type still in its unaltered state, which demonstrates the design of Protestant churches of that century. On Thursday, May 20, ownership of the Historic Centenary Methodist Church in Saluda was passed to an organization called the Centenary Foundation.
