Bay Aging directors ignore state law
The Bay Aging board of directors last Thursday again chose to defy Virginia law after conducting business in secret. Board members emerged from a two-hour closed session and voted to approve personnel matters identified only as those “discussed in closed session.”

The Middlesex County Board of Supervisors has scheduled a public hearing for Tuesday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m. to discuss redistricting the county into five voting districts. The proposed redistricting is in response to 2010 census data.

The Middlesex Board of Supervisors voted on March 29 to hold a public hearing on a proposed $19.5 million 2011-12 (FY12) county budget. The hearing will be on Tuesday, April 19, at 7:30 p.m. in the historic courtroom in Saluda. The proposed budget calls for no tax increases.
