Bay Aging to administer housing choice voucher program for Middle Peninsula
Bay Aging has been selected by the Virginia Housing Development Authority to administer the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program for Virginia’s Middle Peninsula. The federal HCV program assists very low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled to afford decent and safe housing in the private market.

The Middlesex County Board of Supervisors and the county administrator’s office will handle redistricting issues in 2011, rather than involve county citizens in the process. Supervisors made this decision at their December 7 meeting. Redistricting takes place every 10 years—the year after the federal census.

Potomac Timber Investments, which has filed three lawsuits against the Urbanna Town Council regarding plans for condominiums on Urbanna Creek, also has sued Bay Design Group. Potomac Timber contends Bay Design failed to prepare a site plan that met the town code and, because of this, the plan was rejected by the town council.
