Comprehensive plan now online, public hearing set
After more than three years of work, the draft of the 2009 Middlesex Comprehensive Plan is ready for a public hearing by the Middlesex County Planning Commission. The hearing will be Thursday, June 11, at 7 p.m. in the Historic Courthouse in Saluda.

On Tuesday, during the Employee Appreciation Reception, the administration recognized two employees for being the “Employee of the Year.” Trinia Timberlake, RN, case management, and Christina Moore, technologist assistant, radiology were the two recipients.

This tour will consist of a 3:30 p.m. chartered bus ride from the Gloucester County Library (Main Street Center parking lot), visits to two local farms (4:30-7:30 p.m.) to view installed Best Management Practices (BMPs), a complimentary dinner (7:45 p.m.) at Ann’s Family Dining at Glenns, and return (9 p.m.) to the library.

Mae Rosell’s son just graduated from Virginia Tech and will soon be a first lieutenant in the U.S. Armed Forces. Ordinarily, graduation would be a proud day for a mother. Unfortunately, Mae was unable to attend graduation because she is incarcerated at the Middle Peninsula Regional Security Center (MPRSC) in Saluda.
