Potholes and more potholes
Notice all the new potholes plaguing the roads of Middlesex County? They’re popping up everywhere and seem to have appeared overnight. Maybe the first thing noticed was an increase in vehicles swerving to avoid that nasty “thump.” The sound itself is enough to make one cringe with concern for his precious vehicle.

Davis, executive director of Gloucester’s USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA), invites everyone to celebrate National Agriculture Day on March 20, and support the row crop farmers, fruit and vegetable producers, food scientists, livestock ranchers, equipment manufacturers and others who will take our country's agriculture industry into the future.

So far, there have been 79 requests for stimulus money to fund projects either in Middlesex County, or projects that impact county citizens. The grand sum of the Middlesex requests totals about $400 million.

The Urbanna Town Council has some financial questions about the proposed wastewater treatment plant for Saluda, and on Monday voted to invite Middlesex County Administrator Charles Culley to its April 20 meeting to review the financial aspects of the proposed plant.
