On Friday, Middlesex Circuit Court Judge R. Bruce Long granted a “non-suit” motion by Potomac Timber Investments, which allows the developer to withdraw the $4.5 million lawsuit it filed against the Urbanna Town Council in 2008.

Harbor Dredge & Dock will begin the emergency dredging of Jackson Creek in Deltaville as soon as the necessary paperwork can be completed. On Tuesday, the Middlesex County Board of Supervisors awarded the dredging contract to low bidder Harbor Dredge & Dock of Richmond, which bid $95,995.
