Old book stirs memories
A book of poems written by Urbanna Elementary School 5th-graders about 45 years ago has surfaced. The 31 students in the 1964-65 fifth grade class of the late Louise Mercer each wrote a poem about “The Wonders of the Universe,” which was that year’s theme.

The Middlesex County Board of Supervisors voted 3-2 Tuesday to extend the lease on the county-owned property at Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park in Deltaville to 25 years with the option for renewal for another 25 years.
