It appears the Urbanna Town Council and condo developer Potomac Timber Investments are no closer to settling the zoning issue than they were on Sept. 12, 2007 when the condo developer filed the first of two lawsuits.

A pickup towing a trailer loaded with two vehicles ran off the right side of southbound Route 17, lost control and overturned on Wednesday, September 3, about 9 a.m., according to Sergeant G. Mathias of the Virginia State Police.

Bracke admitted he set fire to the house he was living in on Mill Wharf Road in Wake on November 17, 2007. Judge William H. Shaw III will sentence Bracke, 62, on November 5 at 9:30 a.m. on the arson conviction, which carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.
