Roye sentenced to 30 years for murder
Under a plea agreement, George Henry Roye, 81, of Locust Hill pled guilty on October 19 to the second degree murder of Charles Pernell Scott Sr. of Locust Hill, and using a firearm “while committing or attempting to commit murder,” and possessing or transporting a firearm after having been previously convicted of a violent felony.

If you are elected to the board of supervisors will you support bringing the county into compliance with the Virginia Procurement Act?”

On November 7, the Northern Neck Audubon Society will host a program by Robert Ake detailing his “big year.” The program will begin at 7 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church in Kilmarnock. During 2010, Bob Ake traveled the United States, chasing birds in an attempt to tally as many species as possible in the American Bird Area (ABA).
