Urbanna man charged with felonies
The Middlesex Sheriff’s Office reported this week that on February 6, Dustin Michael Hodges of West Avenue in Urbanna was arrested and charged with 4 felonies, which included embezzlement, one count of entering a structure to commit burglary, and two counts of grand larceny.

Living history African American program to be featured Sunday

Board establishes code of ethics
The Middlesex County Board of Supervisors agreed on February 5 to adopt a formal and official policy and rules procedure that establishes a code of ethics and standards of conduct.

No burning before 4 p.m.
Virginia’s 4 p.m. Burning Law went into effect Friday, February 15—the start of spring fire season in Virginia. The law prohibits burning before 4 p.m. each day until April 30 if the fire is in, or within 300 feet of, woodland, brushland or fields containing dry grass or other flammable materials.
