Hearing on condo lawsuits is Friday
This Friday, May 21, at 3 p.m. a hearing will take place in Gloucester Circuit Court on two lawsuits filed against the Urbanna Town Council and others by condominium developer Potomac Timber Investments LLC.

Fairheart reported no teachers will lose their jobs. There will be a reduction of one full-time English teacher at Middlesex High School, but this will be handled by attrition. When the English teacher left earlier in the year, the position was not filled.

Starting July 1, the Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD) will take ownership and operate the wastewater treatment plant at the Middle Peninsula Regional Security Center in Saluda, said Dr. Jim Pyne, chief of the small communities division of HRSD.
