Firemen seek funds for losses
The Middlesex County Board of Supervisors tabled action on a request for $13,684 from the Upper Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department (UMVFD) of Water View to cover the cost of damages to fire-fighting equipment sustained in a forest fire at Jamaica on Saturday, February 19.

Even when English is well written it can be interpreted differently — when it’s vague and is the law, things can get tangled to the point of a lawsuit being threatened. Consider one sentence in the Urbanna Zoning Ordinance: “A public access-way to the water shall be provided for each 100 feet of water frontage the project occupies.”
