Potomac Timber seeks delay to BZA appeal
Potomac Timber Investments’ appeal of an Urbanna Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) ruling on the proposed rebuilding of docks at Urbanna Yachting Center is scheduled to be heard on Friday, July 15, at 10 a.m. in Middlesex Circuit Court by Judge R. Bruce Long.

Potomac Timber appealed the Urbanna Board of Zoning Appeals’ (BZA) ruling that upheld action taken by former zoning administrator Lewis Filling with regard to rebuilding docks at Urbanna Yachting Center. Potomac Timber alleges that Filling’s action stopped the demolition of the existing boathouse and renovation of the docks.

The first annual Deltaville 5K was held Saturday, July 2, with 307 runners and walkers. The event raised over $8,000 for the Deltaville Community Association (DCA), which is rebuilding its facilities due to the April 16 tornado.
