Citizens support referendum on MHS complex

On Monday, December 19, town council voted to spend up to $5,000 for accounting support services. Consultants with the Virginia Municipal League (VML) and the Virginia Association of Counties (VACo) will assist the town in restructuring accounts, developing more useful financial reports and enhancing internal controls.

The Middlesex County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously on Tuesday, December 20, to have board chairman Jack Miller sign a contract authorizing the county to pay Brian Thacker $530,000 for 35.4 acres of land next to the closed county landfill at Stormont.
