Repairs slated at Saluda courthouse green
Middlesex County officials are expecting to have the two large fallen oak trees on the courthouse green in Saluda removed within the next couple of weeks and repairs will be made soon to the historical marker and the Confederate monument damaged in Hurricane Irene.

Urbanna’s new town administrator, John Bailey, brings with him a variety of work experience. He started work in Urbanna on Monday, September 12. Bailey said he’s worked around the state but never near open water, and he’s looking forward to living in Middlesex.

The Middlesex County Board of Supervisors tabled action Tuesday, September 6, on allowing Saluda District representative Pete Mansfield to read his letter into the minutes concerning payments to Joyce Engineering, the firm hired to monitor the county’s closed landfill at Stormont.
