County’s permit to pump & haul has no expiration
Middlesex County’s offices and the courthouse in Saluda could continue to pump and haul their wastewater indefinitely, according to a letter from the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) dated February 11, 2009.

Urbanna asks HRSD to re-use wastewater
Council approved a resolution asking the Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD), which owns the Urbanna wastewater treatment plant, to design a modification or replacement to the existing plant so its treated wastewater can be re-used, possibly to irrigate land.

Morgan calls for ‘sewage summit’
State Delegate Harvey Morgan has scheduled a closed meeting with state and local officials to discuss Middlesex County’s proposed wastewater treatment plant in Saluda. Del. Morgan said on Tuesday he is bringing together representatives from several agencies.

YMCA celebrates fifth anniversary
