‘Ten-minute limit’ proposal is tabled
The Middlesex County Board of Supervisors tabled action on Tuesday, May 2, on a proposal to limit comments by any one supervisor during board meetings to not exceed 10 minutes.

Soft-shell crabbing season off to an encouraging start
imageThe spring run of peeler and soft-shell crabs is here and local restaurants are featuring a spring favorite, “fresh” soft crabs from the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. Local watermen are reporting good landings of peelers, which become delicious soft-shells once they shed their hard shells.

Public hearing on water access plan is Tuesday
A public hearing will be held by the Middlesex County Board of Supervisors on a proposed Public Waterfront Access Vision Plan on Tuesday, May 9, at 7 p.m. at the historic courthouse in Saluda.
