One Woman's Opinion

Order Mary Buxton’s books
imageLife and love in the rural tidewater area of Virginia is a common thread that runs through nearly all of Mary Wakefield Buxton's books. Christmas Past
imageWe improvised, still hoping that the power would come back on the next morning. Not so. We arose Christmas morning to a stone-cold house, used ice-encrusted wood from the front stoop to re-light the wood stove that had burned out in the night, and then breakfasted on cold cereal.

Sunstein, the Harvard law professor and author who was President-elect Barack Obama’s colleague for many years at the University of Chicago.

Guitars, Cadillacs & Hillbilly Music
imageI like honky tonk, country-western music because it is as honest as a cornfield. It expresses genuine human passion belted straight from the heart. Real emotion is always beautiful to me, and I am not one of those classical music lovers who turn up their noses at honky tonk.
