imageReaders know airline travel and I are not compatible. The night was long and cramped in my tiny seat on KLM to Amsterdam and I never once slept. I remember nothing of arrival as we were directed through customs and immigration, except a friendly man holding a sign “Holland America Line.”


A Summer of All Seasons
It occurs to me as I type these words after the long summer’s rest, how wonderful it is to be back on page 2 of the Sentinel with you. I missed our weekly meetings. But it was a good rest for me, much needed, as always a good rest is, and I now look forward to a rich year of writing ahead.

Just One More Summer
Emotionally spent, I finally kissed him goodbye and left. All the way home to Urbanna, I thought that I would have done anything—if only I could have given Father just one more summer.
