Archeological artifact wash planned at Middlesex Museum
The Middlesex County Museum will host an artifact wash on Saturday, September 5, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Pieces recovered during a dig on the property of historic “Sandwich” in Urbanna will be the subject of the wash.

The Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department in Urbanna will hold its 7th annual Crab Feast from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, in the new bays of the air-conditioned firehouse.
Surf music to meet reggae at Groovin’ in the Park concert
Check out the beach sounds of “3rd Wave” at 5 p.m. leading off for the reggae island backbeat of the premier reggae band “Stuck on a Name” from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, as part of the Deltaville Maritime Museum’s Groovin’ in the Park concert series.
Tappahannock Farmers’ Market to feature produce, art and music
The Tappahannock Mid-Summer Farmers’ Market will be held Saturday, August 15, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Everything sold at the market is locally grown, created or crafted. August is a great month for vegetables, fruit and flowers. At least four produce vendors will offer shoppers a huge choice of freshness.
