Tickets on sale for Sept. 17 big band concert
Supporters of the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society (GMHS) will be “cutting a rug” to raise money for homeless animals from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, when the “Bob Boyer/Carroll Bailey Monday Night Big Band” will play a “Jump, Jive and Woof” concert on the GMHS lawn in Gloucester.
Wine glass painting workshop set for Thursday
On Thursday, August 25, from 7-9 p.m., the Community Art Center at the Tappahannock Art Guild (TAG) gallery at 200 Prince Street in Tappahannock will continue its “4th Thursday Program” of hands-on classes in art discovery and technique led by Joyce Crown-Wilkins.
To perform Saturday in Urbanna
“The Voo-Doo Dolls” (above) will perform from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, August 20, at the Urbanna Town Marina as part of the Music Under the Stars concert series. Admission is free and the public is invited. Bring lawn chairs or blankets.
Tickets on sale for August 27 crab feast in Urbanna
The Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department’s 8th annual Crab Feast will be held Saturday, August 27, from 5-7 p.m. at the Urbanna Firehouse. There will be all-you-can-eat crabs, hot dogs, burgers, fries and drinks.
