Maritime Museum festival to feature local watermen

Crockett,” vintage restored deadrises, replica 1608 John Smith shallop “Explorer” and even a 17th-century outboard “motor.” It’s called an “oar.” All this and more on May 1.

Deltaville brothers open boatyard in Urbanna
imageThe owners of Chesapeake Marine Railway on Fishing Bay in Deltaville will be operating Urbanna Boat Works LLC at Port Urbanna at the old Southside Marine location on Urbanna Creek. The Farinholts have taken over the yard and buildings that were formerly occupied by Cameron Marine Service and Catman Catamarans.

Pediatric health-care providers receive grant
