Youth Works group meets Tuesday
Youth Works is open to all youth between the ages of 5-18, regardless of gender, race, creed or religious background. "We have a fun meeting planned and we ask that the parents would accompany the youth as well," said group official Janel Young.

Little Big Band ‘magic’ at museum Saturday
imageLittle Big Band will perform at the Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park's “Groovin’ in the Park” concert series this Saturday, May 22, from 6-8 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door. Based in Lancaster County, Little Big Band includes Sandie Turner and Amy Lewis on lead and back-up vocals, and Jan Williams on drums and vocals.

‘Adopt a Shelter Pet Day!’ set for May 22 in Saluda
imageThe Middlesex County Animal Shelter and Saluda Post Office will host “Adopt a Shelter Pet Day!” on Saturday, May 22, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the post office. Through its “Stamps to the Rescue” campaign, the U.S. Postal Service wants more Americans to know about the millions of shelter pets that need good homes.
