LMVFD Love Light Tree ceremony set for Sunday
The Lower Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will host its annual Love Light Tree ceremony this Sunday, November 30, at 4 p.m. After lighting the tree, there will be music and refreshments inside the Deltaville firehouse. A visit from Santa is expected. The public is invited.

Christmas Friends Inc. has a lot of work to do
The fund-raising goal for Christmas Friends this year remains at $25,000. “We have set the goal to be the same as last year,” said Christmas Friends secretary and shopping director Bettie Lee Gaskins. “Even though contributions are down nationally for nearly all non-profit organizations, we have faith that the local residents will come through with donations for our own needy people in the area.”

Sentinel to publish letters of thanks
Thanksgiving is a time to count one’s blessings and give thanks to those who have made a difference in one’s life. In this spirit, the Southside Sentinel will once again print, at no charge, short “thank-you letters” from Middlesex County residents and visitors in its Thanksgiving issue of Wednesday, November 26.

Historic and new homes on Urbanna Christmas House Tours
A special feature this year includes a designer showcase of decorated rooms at Rosegill, Urbanna’s plantation home from the 1600s. Local decorators and designers have each selected rooms to feature and showcase their special style and flair and will offer items to be ordered or purchased.
