Virginia St. Cafe: Smoke-free Business of the Year
Virginia Street Cafe was recognized for its exceptional work in promoting smoke-free dining and smoke-free workplaces in its community. Owner Judy Wade, who quit smoking herself 15 years ago, took her restaurant completely smoke-free on November 1, 2008 in the middle of the popular annual Urbanna Oyster Festival.
Music of 50s, 60s, 70s this Saturday in Urbanna
It will be the final “Music Under the Stars” concert of 2009. Although there is no cost to attend, donations will be accepted. “Music Under the Stars” is presented by the Special Events Committee of the Urbanna Business Association. Bring chairs and blankets in case of chilly weather.

The Urbanna Oyster Festival Foundation has named Ronnie and Cathy Russell of Water View as the grand marshals of the 52nd annual Urbanna Oyster Festival set for Friday and Saturday, November 6-7.
