Crockett ‘family’ picnics at Maritime Museum
Over 90 friends and families of the historic buyboat “F.D. Crockett” gathered under blue skies at the Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park last Sunday for a covered dish picnic and afternoon cruise on the Crockett. The gathering celebrated the storied workboats restoration by the museum.
String quartet in concert Saturday
The Rappahannock Foundation for the Arts (RFA) will present a concert by the Richmond Symphony String Quartet on Saturday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be at Grace Episcopal Church, 303 South Main Street, Kilmarnock.

Jacob’s Ladder helps gifted children whose life situations make it difficult for them to succeed. Jacob’s Ladder is a year-around, highly-structured academic and life-skill mentoring program that includes a summer residential program for its young participants, who are known as “climbers.”
