Groovin’ is a “bring your own lawn chair” picnic-friendly event. Come early and picnic. Plenty of picnic tables are available. Some folding chairs are available. The concert will be held under the John’s Events Pavilion in case of normal rain. Check with the museum office for status if current hurricane track continues.
‘Delta Jam’ raises over $5,000 for tornado relief
“Delta Jam” took place last Friday night on the grounds of the Deltaville Firehouse. This fun night out for the whole family featured three musical acts starting with Sarah Williams, who currently is recording in Nashville, “Jumbo Lump Daddy and the Backfin Boys,” and “Sweet Justice.”

Bay Aging moving forward with ‘neighbors helping neighbors’
“If it wasn’t for the Tartan I’d have to go on food stamps,” she said. In the months she has lived there, Furey has become an activist for many Bay Aging programs and earned a reputation as a “spark plug” for helping her neighbors. But she is quick to explain, “Everyone here looks out for everyone else.” It is a community spirit that may be key to the future of Bay Aging as well.
