Steamboat Era Museum receives $100,000 for pilothouse project
At a gathering on February 3, hosted by Margaret and Eric Nost, community leaders and Steamboat Era Museum donors, learned about a grant and a challenge donation to the Potomac Pilothouse project.

Sunday afternoon story-telling is a tradition in Daisy Howard-Douglas’ family, one she fell in love with listening to her father as a child. In her February 12 gallery dramatization, Miss Daisy will share the experiences of a Buffalo Soldier from the Civil War era.

Not only are students doing all of the singing and dancing, but they have written the script and designed the set, logo and costumes. Students also are handling all video, media, tech design and house management.
