Winter Music Fair to offer fun for all ages

The public is invited to attend the West Point Winter Music Fair on Friday, February 3. This new family-fun event will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. at West Point Public Schools.

“The youngest members of your family will enjoy a wide variety of games, face painting and crafts. Older children and teenagers will have the opportunity to climb a rock wall, sing karaoke, try an obstacle course and dance in the “disco.”

For the adults there will be live local entertainment, a silent auction, a beautiful baby photo contest and a cakewalk.

McGruff the Safety Dog will visit and be available for pictures and a King William fire truck will be on site for touring.

The refreshment choices will include Brunswick stew, barbecue, hot dogs, chips, baked goods and drinks.

All proceeds will benefit the Music Departments of all three West Point schools. Tickets can be purchased prior to the event through February 2 for five for $1. On February 3, the price for tickets will be four tickets for $1.

“We encourage you to purchase your tickets in advance and we can hold them at the ticket booth for you until the day of the event for your convenience.  Checks may be payable to West Point Music Boosters.  To purchase tickets, contact April Hayden at (804) 239-3639.

If you could donate some of your time, treasures and/or talent for this event, please contact Ms. Hayden at . We would greatly appreciate donated prizes for games, gently-used treasures for the auction, baked goods, performing acts such as magicians, artists for portraits, and folks who are willing to staff the event.

If we have inclement weather on that day, the snow date for this event will be Friday, February 17, also from 5 to 10 p.m.
