Waterfowl Show to feature new Noffsinger art

A new watercolor giclee by Kathleen Noffsinger, “Into the Dawn,” will be shown for the first time at the Rappahannock River Waterfowl Show this weekend in White Stone.

The 33rd annual Rappahannock River Waterfowl Show will be held Saturday and Sunday, March 17-18, at the White Stone Firehouse.

Eighty-eight artists and carvers from 11 states will travel to White Stone to exhibit their paintings, bird carvings, bronze sculptures, and photography. A celebration of wildfowl art at its finest, this unique art show is dedicated to showcasing all forms of wildfowl in many varied art mediums.

Middlesex watercolor artist Kathleen Noffsinger will offer her new giclee reproduction “Into the Dawn” at the show.

This will be the 11th year Noffsinger has been invited to display and sell her watercolor paintings and the third year she will include her organic “Art Rocks” jewelry.

Drawing and painting since childhood, Noffsinger holds a BS in education from the University of Maryland and has been teaching adult watercolor and drawing classes since 1998. She has won numerous awards for her paintings including many “Best in Show” ribbons.

The Waterfowl Show is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 18. Admission is $8; children under age 12 are admitted free. Lunch is available both days.

The Rappahannock River Waterfowl Show is sponsored by the White Stone Volunteer Fire Department and all proceeds benefit the operations of the fire department.
