Urbanna Parade winners announced
There were about 70 entries in the 12th Annual Urbanna Christmas Parade on Friday, Dec. 5. See many of the entries in the video at SSentinel.com.
The judging results are as follows:
Judges’ Award (2)—Cub Scout Pack 370 and U.S. Coast Guard Flotilla #62 of Deltaville.
Mayor’s Award—Urbanna Baptist Church Day Care.
Antique Vehicles—first place, 1976 Cadillac Eldorado convertible of Bill and Rose Shuman; second, 1957 Chevrolet of Wes Mallory.
Commercial floats—first place, Middlesex Lawn and Garden; second, Horizons Unlimited Day Care of Urbanna United Methodist Church.
Non-Commercial floats—first place, Red Hat Society; second, Christchurch School Living Campus.
Walking Units—first place, John’s Martial Arts; second, Boy Scouts Troop #341 of Christ Church.
Specialty Unit—American Legion of Saluda.
Equestrian—Little Wonder Horse Farm.
Best Appearing Fire Truck—Upper Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department.
Grand Marshal’s Award—Coast Guard-Milford Haven.
Appreciation awards went to the Middlesex High School Band and the St. Clare Walker Middle School Marching Band.
