Tickets selling fast for Aug. 18 Crab Festival

The 7th Annual Irvington Crab Festival will be held Saturday, August 18. The Crab Festival is the Steamboat Era Museum’s largest yearly fundraising event.

This event is held under the tent on the Irvington Commons. Doors open at 4 p.m. and crabs, furnished by Crabs Express, are served at 5 p.m. Barbecue, hot dogs and soft drinks are included. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.

The museum will be open and free during the event so you can learn about the Potomac Pilothouse project, view the exhibits, and stop in the gift shop. The silent auction will be located in the museum.

Tickets are $50 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Tickets are non-refundable and will not be sold at the door. Tickets are selling quickly and the event always sells out.

Tickets may be purchased online at steamboateramuseum.org, calling 438-6888 or by visiting the museum at 156 King Carter Drive in Irvington, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
