Tickets on sale for VSO Jazz Ensemble concert

The Rappahannock Foundation for the Arts will continue its On Stage series with a performance by the Virginia Symphony Orchestra (VSO) Jazz Ensemble on Saturday, March 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the Lancaster Middle School Theater.

The VSO Jazz Ensemble, comprised of 17 of the finest jazz musicians in southeast Virginia, is led by Jim Nesbit, saxophonist and VSO personnel manager. The group’s programs vary greatly, but their standard concert includes arrangements by jazz greats such as Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Buddy Rich as well as more contemporary arrangers such as Bob Florence, Bob Mintzer and Gordon Goodwin.
The VSO Jazz Ensemble performance is sponsored locally by Rumsey & Bugg, Attorneys At Law; Dominion Virginia Power; the Virginia Commission for the Arts; and the National Endowment for the Arts.
