Tickets are on sale for Irvington Crab Festival

The third annual Irvington Crab Festival will take place August 9 at the Irvington Town Commons. The crab picking will be under a big tent in front of the Steamboat Era Museum, 156 King Carter Drive, Irvington.

Crabs, barbecue, hot dogs and an assortment of Dog and Oyster wine, as well as beer will be available, reported museum executive director Barbara Brecher.  The gates will open at 4 p.m. and crabs will be served at 5 p.m.

Tickets are $35 for adults and $10 for ages 12 and younger. The ticket price is subject to increase as of July 1, based on crab availability, said Brecher.

Tickets may be purchased at steamboateramuseum.org; at the museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays; or call 438-6888.
