Farm-fresh produce, food, arts and crafts, and live entertainment are featured from 4:30-7 p.m. each Wednesday, June through August, at the Summer Nights Market at the Gloucester Museum of History and Carriage Court in Gloucester Court House.
Wednesday, June 26, will be Dog Festival Night at the market. The Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society will be on site with adoptable animals. A local photographer will take pet photos. The Animal Rescue Team will be selling $5 raffle tickets for a set of sit-on-top kayaks to help save local homeless animals. Dogs are welcome to come, but must be on a leash.
The band “Mercy Creek” of Kilmarnock will provide music for the evening, courtesy of Oyster Cove Boat Works and Yacht Brokerage. Mercy Creek has released seven independent albums and has been on a full-time touring schedule since 1998, playing across the country. The band is currently working on its eighth release.
