Summer activities for children continue at library

Children decorate boomerangs at the Urbanna Library storytime. They later tested their creations.

Although the Summer Reading Program is finished there is still storytime at the Urbanna Branch Library. All children are welcome on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. for a story and craft.

On Wednesday, August 15, the storytime will be about sea animals. The children will hear stories about “Chadwick the Crab,” “Mr. Seahorse” and “Jimmy the Sassy Crab” by local author Donald Loop. The children will then make a crab to take home.

On Wednesday, August 22, the storytime will be about space. The children will hear stories about “Another Day in the Milky Way,” “Zoom!, Zoom!, Zoom!, I’m Off to the Moon” and “Moonwalk: First Trip to the Moon.” Children will then make a paper rocket.
