Signup deadline for business forum is this Friday
On April 22-23, the Middle Peninsula Business Development Partnership (MPBDP) will sponsor a Women’s Business Forum at the Middlesex Woman’s Club on Virginia Street in Urbanna.
During this two-day event, attendees will learn from and network with other successful women entrepreneurs. Training begins at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 22, with opening remarks by Candie Newman, director of MPBDP. A box lunch and training to follow will include “Business Basics and Financing in a Tight Credit Market.” In the evening everyone is encouraged to stay and network and enjoy local restaurants.
Day two will begin at 8:30 a.m. with “Sales: Building Relationships/Building Trust and Using Technology to Your Advantage (Marketing).” Instructors include Judy Mansfield of Haley-Mansfield-Koptish Financial Group of Wells Fargo Advisors; Dorothy Fagan of Dorothy Fagan Studios; Micki Clay of The Local Accent; and Candie Newman of MPBDP.
The event will wrap up mid-day Friday, April 23, with closing remarks by Fran Slate of Home Town Health Care.
Participants’ tax-deductible donation of $198 for this event includes all training and lunch on Thursday.
