“A variety of music will have RivahFest locals and visitors dancing in the streets of Tappahannock on Saturday, June 20.

This year over a dozen local bands will perform on Stage Two located in front of St. Margaret’s Hall on Water Lane. Visitors can enjoy a different genre and band every 15 minutes between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

During the afternoon, two great bands will perform on the main stage on the corner of Prince Street and Water Lane.

From noon to 3 p.m., “Flashback” from Richmond will perform a wide variety of dance music from the oldies to disco.

From 3:30 to 7 p.m., the main stage will be rocking and grooving to the sounds of “Legends of Beach,” a new group composed of eight musicians including five former members of the beach music group “The Embers.”

The RivahFest Idol Contest finalists will perform on the 2nd stage in front of St. Margaret’s Hall on Water Lane at 2 p.m. The finalists will be asked to perform one song. The top two finalists then will perform on the Main Stage at the intersection of Water Lane and Prince Street during the break of the main band performance at about 5:30 p.m. The winner will be announced at the conclusion of the event.

In addition to the music, Rivahfest will be loaded with two days, June 19-20, of events for all ages. For details on the numerous activities, visit http://www.rivahfest.com.
