Puppet show set for Saturday in Deltaville

Just in time for the holidays, the Middlesex County Public Library will present the Barefoot Puppets performing “Little Red and the Gingerbread Man.” This fun-filled puppet show combines two classic tales in one. Join Little Red as she pursues a mischievous gingerbread cookie through the woods to Grandma’s house.

The suggested ages for this show is 2 through 8. It will take place at the Deltaville Branch Library on Saturday, December 1, at 11 a.m. and is free to all.

Barefoot Puppet Theatre has been building and performing original works since 1997. The founder and director, Heidi Rugg, began building puppet shows from the basement of her Richmond home. From these humble beginnings, the company has grown significantly and now tours nationally while creating new works for young audiences and their families.

The December 1 performance is being made possible in part by the Virginia Commission for the Arts.
