Pumpkin carving party is Saturday in Urbanna
Last year Lowe Tide, along with Homegrown Market at 51 Cross Street, held a pumpkin carving/painting party outside, which was so well received that the other merchants in town wanted to be a part of it. So, the 2nd annual Urbanna Pumpkin Carving/Painting Party is set for 1-3 p.m. this Saturday, October 20.
In fact, Urbanna will be abuzz with a variety of events this Saturday. At 9 a.m. the traveling Crown Donuts will arrive with their truck at the corner of Cross and Virginia streets. Crown offers freshly-made bite size bucket of donuts, with a variety of dipping sauces.
Captain Phil will offer Urbanna cruises to view the fall colors in all their glory. Reservations are suggested by calling 804-366-1778 or he will have a table positioned by Crown Donuts for questions and scheduling.
Amy Wright Maloney and Jason Maloney of Homegrown Market at 51 Cross Street invite the public to participate in pumpkin carving/painting from 1-3 p.m. The cost is $10 or less for the pumpkins and art supplies are included. Amy encourages people to wear costumes and silly clothes. Space is limited so please RSVP to Lowe Tide at 758-4444 or Amy at 370-4856.
Cross Street Coffee will have live music provided by “Steamboat Road” from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. during lunch hours.
Lowe Tide and other merchants in town will be decorated and serving refreshments for the public’s enjoyment.
