Miss Trinity Dabriel Bea of Burgess was crowned Queen of the Holly Realm on Friday, December 29, at Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club in Kilmarnock.

Miss Bea was selected through popular vote by those attending the 122nd Holly Ball. Miss Bea will serve as queen next December at the 123rd Holly Ball, the Tidewater Foundation’s fundraising arm. Thirteen Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula area debutantes were presented at the annual Holly Ball.

Orator Del. Margaret Bevans Ransone of Kinsale crowned Miss Bea with the traditional crown worn by former queens, reported Amy Humphreys of the publicity committee.

The crowning of Miss Bea marked the first time an African-American will reign as queen of the Holly Realm. She succeeds reigning Queen Miss Macy Stuart Swift of Reedville, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Keith Swift of Reedville.
