Middlesex budget to be forum topic Monday

Middlesex Forward will hold its first public forum of 2009 at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 16, in Christ Church Parish Hall at Christchurch, at 7 p.m. Middlesex County Administrator Charles Culley will present and explain the proposed budget.

Prior to the meeting at 6 p.m., the board of Middlesex Forward will meet with Vic Clough, dean of college advancement at Rappahannock Community College. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss partnering with the Lifelong Learning program at RCC that seeks to inform and educate citizens about issues and concerns of area residents.

The 7 p.m. program on Monday is another in a continuing series of forums, the focus of which is to provide citizens an opportunity to become informed about issues that affect life in Middlesex County. Middlesex Forward urges all voting and interested citizens to take advantage of this public discussion of Middlesex County’s fiscal situation.

Any citizen who wishes to join this effort to support fair and responsible governance in Middlesex County is invited to join Middlesex Forward by calling John Koedel at 776-6163.
