‘Meet Our Local Artists’ set for Friday, Saturday

This is where the “Meet Our Local Artists” reception and art show will take place from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, April 9, and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, April 10.
A “Meet Our Local Artists” reception and art show will take place from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, April 9, and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, in the Taylor Building on Cross Street in Urbanna. The public is invited.

Area artists who will exhibit include: Trainor Roden, photography; Peper Heunemann, fine silver jewelry; Elise Ritter, acrylic paintings, primarily seascape; Jacquie Colligan, jewelry and watercolors; Candie Newman, watercolors; LaJean Browning-Smith, photography; Sandra Davis, sculptures; Ben Bolden, metalwork; Kathrine Parker; Larry Ashe; Carolyn Davis, watercolors; Raoul Chapman, soap stone carvings; Sheila Jones; and Wade Brooks, stained glass, blown glass, wood, metal, glass, mixed medium sculptures, and blacksmith items including lighting, furniture and other functional and decorative art; Susan Hallet-Hockett, nature photography of Rappahannock River area; Marilyn Jo Cotter; Brad Parks, author; Larry Chowning, author; Mary Ellen Lee, watercolors; and Ron Courtney, oil based paintings.

There will be live music, hors d’oeuvres, refreshments, raffles and more.

The event is sponsored by Taylor Building co-owner Lawrence Fuccella, the Urbanna Business Association, Haley-Mansfield-Koptish Financial Group of Wells Fargo, TrainorPhotoArt, Middlesex Art Guild and 20 area artists.
