Maritime park members meeting set for Sept. 8

Deltaville Maritime Museum

The Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park will hold its annual members meeting Saturday, September 8, from 4-5 p.m. in the south wing of the Events Pavilion. As at all annual museum meetings, the public is welcome. The pavilion is located near the waterfront on the maritime park property at 287 Jackson Creek Road in Deltaville.

As the maritime park moves toward the end of its 16th year, president Marvin Tiller, treasurer Bob LeBoeuf and board directors will report on the “State of the Museum and Park.”

All those interested in the progress, plans, and health of the museum should make a point of attending. The development and improvement of the Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park are a part of the heart of our community.

Board members for 2018-19 will be proposed and voted on by the membership at the end of the meeting. All attending members in good standing can participate. 

The 12th Annual Oyster Roast and Dance immediately follows.

The Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park, a volunteer, non-profit organization, is in Deltaville at 287 Jackson Creek Road, and by water on Mill Creek. To get to the museum and park, follow Route 33 (General Puller Hwy.) through Deltaville and turn right across from the Citgo service station onto Route 660 (Jackson Creek Rd.). The park is open dawn to dusk all year.
