Maritime park dinner-dance is a sellout
This Friday night’s Shrimp and Barbecue Dinner and Dance at the Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park has sold out. The dinner is the first event of the maritime park’s Working Waterman’s Weekend festivities set for April 26-27.
With the construction of the new events pavilion and consequent limitations on facilities, the available tickets this year were necessarily limited to 200.
The museum expects, when all is up and running, to be able to increase the available tickets to 350 next year and, hopefully, for this September’s oyster roast.
“The maritime park thanks all its friends for their support, and appreciates the community’s patience while we rebuild,” said events director Bill Powell.
Plenty of tickets are still available for the Saturday evening’s Groovin’ in the Park concert featuring “Ray Pittman and The Revival” from 6-8 p.m., and opening performer Eileen Edmonds at 5 p.m.
