LMVFD Crab Feast attracts huge crowd

Lynnette The Dancing Crab (Lynne Pollard) and Katelyn Moore enjoy last Saturday’s festivities at the Crab Feast on the grounds of the Deltaville Firehouse.

About 1,200 people attended the Lower Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department (LMVFD) Crab Feast at the Deltaville Firehouse last Saturday, and the Ladies Auxiliary sold $1,100 worth of 50-50 raffle tickets—the most ever.

The LMVFD issued the following thank-you this week:

The Lower Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department in Deltaville thanks all the people who helped work the Crab Feast and make it such a great success. Thanks for working so hard at cooking, serving, and helping in so many ways. Thanks to all the sponsors: Absolute Tree Inc., Budweiser-Al Pugh Distributing Co. Inc., Chesapeake Boatworks, Crowther Heating and Air, Deltaville Market, EVB Bank, Haywood Marine Construction, J&W Seafood, Middle Peninsula Insurance Agency Inc., Norton’s Yacht Sales Inc., Revere Gas & Appliance, Stingray Point Boatworks, Urbanna Builder’s Supply, Venture Electric Company and Walden’s Construction. Thanks to Merryvale Farms for donating the corn, and J&W Seafood for getting the crabs and steaming them for us. A special thanks to the Harrison family for designing, printing and selling the t-shirts to support the fire department. Once again, thank you for everyone’s support—it was greatly appreciated!
